Don’t miss the Karns Community Fair!

The Karns Community Fair is the longest continuously running community fair in the state! This year’s fair was bigger and better than ever.  Thank you to Cassie and Meg Kiestler and all the people who helped make this year’s fair such a great success.

The Fair is held from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. each year on the 4th Saturday in July (so in 2019, it will be on July 27) and draws thousands of people of all ages who enjoy the wide range of events, vendors, activities, and games, or just the opportunity to visit with old friends and make new friends. Activities begin with the traditional Karns Parade which starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Ingles parking lot. (Parade participants start lining up in the parking lot at 8:00 a.m.). Oak Ridge Highway, from Ingles to Walgreens, and Byington-Beaver Ridge Road, from Walgreens to Karns High School, are closed starting at 9 a.m. and re-open as the parade concludes (usually about an hour or so later, but it depends on the number of participants).  Plan ahead if these road closures will affect where you need to go that morning.

Businesses, politicians, nonprofit organizations, and crafters are urged to watch this page for when the 2019 Karns Community Fair Booth Application is posted and then submit an application as early as possible, as booth space is limited and is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Also watch the “Karns Community Fair” Facebook page for the latest updates on plans and how you can become involved as a volunteer.  If you have questions about the Fair, please email karnscommunityfair@gmail.com. We are also on Instagram at karnsfair.
