Don’t miss the Karns Community Fair!

The Karns Community Fair is the longest continuously running community fair in the state! It is held from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. each year on the 4th Saturday in July (so in 2018, it will be on July 28) and draws thousands of people of all ages who enjoy the wide range of events, vendors, activities, and games, or just the opportunity to visit with old friends and make new friends. Activities begin with the traditional Karns Parade which starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Ingles parking lot. (Parade participants start lining up in the parking lot at 8:00 a.m.). Oak Ridge Highway, from Ingles to Walgreen’s, and Byington-Beaver Ridge Road, from Walgreen’s to Karns High School, will be closed starting at 9 a.m. and will re-open as the parade concludes (usually about an hour or so later, but it depends on the number of participants).  Plan ahead if these road closures will affect where you need to go that morning.

Businesses, politicians, nonprofit organizations, and crafters are urged to submit a 2018 Karns Community Fair Booth Application as early as possible as booth space is limited and is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Also watch the “Karns Community Fair” Facebook page for the latest updates on plans and how you can become involved as a volunteer.  If you have questions about the Fair, please email karnscommunityfair@gmail.com.
